Today is a big day in the Christian faith as we observe the day that Christ took on our sins in His death on the cross. It is a solemn day of remembrance of the pain Christ suffered in his perfection in order to be the living sacrifice of sin. However, we also know the rest of the story and that Sunday is coming where he will be risen!
John 19:28-30
28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said, “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
