Hey y'all,

I recently saw Dorothy, Dana, Elle, and Jordyn complete this post and thought I would join in. Elle took inspiration from the Vogue 73 question videos and created 73 questions for her blog. Here are my answers and feel free to join in since I love knowing more about those behind the blogs. Grab your coffee, tea, or Coke Zero since this is a long one.

1. Where is your favorite place to be? The beach. I love the beach especially in the cooler months. Oceans, sunsets, sunscreen, and books and I am a happy camper.

2. What is something you can't live without? sleep. water. libraries. leggings. my childhood pillow.

3. What is a secret talent of yours?I don't think I have any secret talents. I can bake a mean muffin?

4. What are three words to describe yourself? Christian. Reader. Friend.

5. Where do you get inspiration from? my friends. Pinterest. podcasts. 

6. What is your favorite animal? A tie between a sloth and a narwhal. I did projects on both animals in elementary school and have loved them ever since. If a kid asks, I tend to say giraffe though since not everyone knows what a narwhal or sloth looks like.

7. What is your favorite snack food? goldfish. cheese and crackers. a veggie tray.

8. What is your favorite piece of makeup? mascara.

9. What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? say no. It's hard but saying no to good things to make time for rest and the best things is so important.

10. What is the last book you read? Waiting on Tom Hanks. You can see my June reads here.

11. What is your favorite genre of music? Country (like 90s country) and Christian

12. What celebrity do you want to be BFF's with?  Reese Witherspoon. Kristen Bell. Danielle Walker. Annie F. Downs. Ree Drummond.

13. What is your biggest regret? I don't have any.

14. What is one thing on your bucket list? To travel to Greece.

15. What is your favorite quote? The quote I put on my UNC application was "A room without books is like a body without a soul." Cicero.

16. What is your favorite sport to play and to watch? play: swimming (I was on the swim team in elementary and middle school) watch: ice skating

17. What is your favorite place that you have ever visited? Ireland.

18. What is your guilty pleasure? Reality TV.

19. What is your biggest achievement? Graduating from UNC. Paying off my student loans in 6.5 years.

20. What is the best thing to happen to you this month? Vacation! I spent 9 days enjoying a staycation.

21. What is your go to coffee order? I don't drink coffee. In the summer - green tea lemonade. In the winter - citrus defender or hot chocolate

22. What is your favorite non-alcoholic beverage? Key lime La Croix. Chocolate milk (lactose free of course). Orange juice.

23. What is your favorite alcoholic beverage? Margarita. Mimosa. Riesling white wine.

24. What is your favorite movie? Pride and Prejudice.

25. What is something that you can't do but wish you could? Dance. I took ballet when I was younger but stopped classes just before pre-pointe when we moved abroad.

26. What is a bad habit of yours? Not doing the dishes until the next morning. Whoops!

27. If you could have someone else's closet, whose would it be? Kate Middleton

28. Favorite way to spend a rainy day? napping, reading, eating macaroni and cheese

29. What is an ideal date? For a first date, coffee or drinks that eventually leads to a fun local dinner spot.

30. Who is your celeb crush (boy and girl)? Blake Lively. Kate Middleton. Aidan Turner. Ryan Reynolds.

31. What is your favorite day of the week? Saturday. Barre, grocery shopping, reading, church, and dinners with friends are my usual Saturday routine.

32. What is your favorite type of breakfast food? Waffles.

33. What is your favorite meal to have for dinner? My mom's beef stroganoff and Cesar salad.

34. What is your favorite color? I teeter between pink and navy blue.

35. What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Southern Charm. My 600lb Life. Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team.

36. What is the first thing you do when you wake up? Hit snooze? I also tend to give my cat his daily head rub since it tends to wake me up.

37. What is your favorite season? Spring.

38. What are your three favorite holidays? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and my birthday

39. How do you relax? bubble baths. reading. listening to the Spotify night rain playlist.

40. What makes you smile the most? My family.

41. What is the best gift you've ever received? my mattress. A few years ago, I received money towards my mattress and since I sleep on it almost every night of the year it was well worth the investment.

42. If you had a tattoo, what would it be and where would it be? I doubt I would get a tattoo but it would be a verse or a celtic cross.

43. What is a travel must have? comfy clothes that you can layer.

44. What is your favorite clothing brand or store? LOFT

45. Who is the last person you texted? my friend Shelby.

46. When was the last time you cried? I cry really easily - think Disney movies, Hallmark films, most books, etc. I think the last book I cried over was The Unhoneymooners.

47. Were you named after someone? Nope. Out of the four kids, I am the only one not named after relatives. My parents just liked the name Jessica.

48. What is your least favorite food? Blue cheese. Fish. Sushi. Spicy things.

49. What is your least favorite word? most curse words. As an English lit major, there are so many more words in the English language to express yourself.

50. What is your pet peeve? People who do not use turn signals, people who clip their nails in public spaces, etc.

51. What is your favorite time of day? Bedtime. I love getting cozy in my pjs, reading a book, and sleeping.

52. If you could travel with anyone, who would it be? This is hard since I have lots of amazing friends that love to travel. I would probably say my Mom though since we tend to enjoy the same things and would pick similar places to go.

53. Do you prefer vintage or new? new.

54. What is your birthday and what is your sign? January 31st. Aquarius.

55. What is a skill that you are working on? cooking. I am trying new recipes this month.

56. What is your dream job? to be a mom.

57. If you could live anywhere in the country, where would you live? I love living in NC since we have it all - four seasons, beaches and mountains. I also would not mind moving back to my birthplace of Texas. My mom's family is in California which is a lot of fun to visit but so congested and expense. If California didn't have the traffic and wasn't ridiculously expensive, I wouldn't mind being near my aunts, uncles, cousins, and the littles.

58. What are some of your favorite baby names? Madeline. Gabriel. Oliver. Eleanor. Mason. Evelyn.

59. Are you an introvert or extrovert? introvert - 100%

60. What is your first car? I learned to drive on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. The first car I bought was a 2013 Toyota Corolla that was in an accident last year so I am now in a 2019 Toyota Corolla.

61. What was your first screen name? I don't remember my first AIM name, but my first email was cowzrule90. I went through a cow loving phase in elementary school and Zs were cooler than Ss back then.

62. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate. I love to mix in strawberries or gummi bears though.

63. What is your favorite fashion trend of all time? A striped t-shirt, skinny pants, ballet flat.

64. How would you describe your style? Classic.

65. If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Not flying. I hate heights. Probably invisibility?

66. What is your favorite curse word? I'm not really a cursing person. Sorry.

67. What is the priciest thing you've ever splurged on? Apart from my car, I would say my sectional. Furniture is not cheap.

68. What is one item that you must have in your purse at all times? Lip balm and a hair tie.

69. Where does one go on a perfect road trip? To the mountains or to the beach. Just fill the car with all the snacks please. I also sleep well in cars so road trips tend to be just snacks and naps.

70. Do you prefer cooking or baking? Baking.

71. Are you a shoe or handbag gal? Shoes.

72. How would you like to be remembered? As a girl who loved Jesus, her family, and her community well.

73. What is your favorite board game? as a child Candyland. currently Life or Ticket to Ride.
