Five on Friday {May 5}

Hey y'all,

I can't believe it's Friday! This has been a busy week at work as I had a half-day training on Wednesday and then an all day retreat I coordinated on Thursday. I am ready for a calmer week next week and we are only 15 days away from vacation. As usual, Friday means I am sharing five things I have been loving this week.

one.

Barre3 Chapel Hill. I love barre3 but the studio in Raleigh is not the most convenient for my work schedule and I am not the most accountable to 60min barre workouts from home. They just announced that there is going to be a new studio near the Whole Foods in Chapel Hill. I am hoping that I will be able to squeeze in some lunch time workouts as well as before and after work sessions. You can sign up to hear more about their opening here and sign up for a free class at the Southpoint Nordstrom here. They are also having a class at the Carrboro Fleet Feet store and you can sign up here.

two.

Commissioning. This past weekend at church was our commissioning weekend. One of the visions of our church is to plant 1000 churches in our generation. My sweet friend and one of my old bible study leaders, Ashley is joining one of the church plants and will be moving down to Orlando this weekend. It's crazy how the Lord provides though y'all, Ashley recently accepted a position down there and has her housing all arranged. My small group and I are excited to plan a trip down there to support her within the next year.

After church with some of my small group ladies.
Ashley's goodbye small group Mexican dinner. We were sad to be missing two ladies.
Myself, Sam, Ashley, and Lindsey.
Sam led my previous group where I met Ashley and Lindsey. A&L then planted a small group out of Sam's group and this fall I joined them. It's crazy that I've know these ladies since Fall 2013!

three.

Sole Society Miller Tote. I originally saw this tote in Caitlin's post about overnight flights. I had been looking for a new carry-on tote and a lighter bag for spring. Y'all, this bag is under $70 and has a lot of room. I ended up ordering the cream color from Nordstrom here since Sole Society was out and it's already been delivered.

four.

Simplified Planner Launch. Y'all, the new simplified planners launch on the 17th and the cover reveal/details all come out on Wednesday, May 10th. I'm so excited to see all the changes to the academic planners. Yes, I still operate on an academic cycle of planners since I work at a University. There is something special about August and school supplies. I am actually thinking of going back to the weekly edition. What do you currently use as a planner?

five.

Overnight Oats. I am not a huge oatmeal fan but I tried a new overnight oat recipe this week and I loved it. It's from Tone it Up and so simple. I used Gluten Free oats but you can use the regular rolled oats as well.

Here's the recipe:

2 servings

Ingredients:
2/3 cup rolled oats
2 Tbs peanut butter
4 tsp chia seeds
2 tsp honey or maple syrup
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I ended up using chocolate protein powder and 1 Tbs of unsweetened cocoa powder to make it extra decadent)
1 banana sliced.

Directions:
Combine everything in a bowl. Split the mixture into two mason jars or containers and let sit in the fridge overnight.

I topped mine with some sliced strawberries.

If you missed it, this week I shared some picks for Mother's Day (you have a little over a week left to shop!) and a book I finished reading.

Now to finish out the work day so I can meet up with my mom for our girl's weekend!
