12 Days of Gift Guides {Ethical Fashion}

I can hardly believe that it is already Thursday of this week! I had some issues with the posts I had written for earlier this week so I apologize if you stopped by and I was radio silent. My sweet friend Laura of Très Belle was kind enough to write a guest blog post for y'all on ethical fashion. 3. Tilo scarf in Blue Check by Kash & Lana. Where my fellow Carolina fans at?? This scarf would be just darling to wear to a UNC basketball game. Kash & Lana uses natural, sustainable fabrics and employs workers in developing countries in fair-practice environments. 

4. "Cave" earrings by Mango + Main. I like that these earrings are classic and versatile, yet dangly and fun. And the price is on point, am I right? They are handcrafted by Ojiko and Elijah in Nairobi, Kenya, using local hammered brass. Mango + Main links artisans to buying markets and follows the principles set forth by the Fair Trade Federation, so you can rest assured that they are treating workers with dignity.

5. Millie smoking flats in Pink Stripe by The Root Collective. These shoes are fashion-forward and make a big statement! The Root Collective is a Certified B Corporation, which means that it applies rigorous social and environmental standards in all areas of its business model. 

6. "Chained to My Heart" necklace by Catbird Jewelry. Looking for something high-end for a special someone? Look no further than this stunningly delicate necklace, which is handmade in the USA using ethically sourced white gold and a conflict-free diamond. To make things even better, Catbird will donate a portion of all holiday proceeds to Girl Up and the ACLU.

7. Anya cross-body in Bordeaux by Angela Roi. I would pee my pants in excitement if I found this under my Christmas tree! It's so stylish and is perfect for any occasion, from a casual coffee date to a fancy Christmas party. Angela Roi bags are made using fair labor practices and are actually crafted from vegan "leather," which I love. And they last forever! 

8. Local NC hoodie by Mindful Supply Co. This hoodie is perfect for the fella in your life! Mindful Supply Co. keeps all steps of the production process (including growing the cotton, ginning it, knitting it, dying it, and designing, and printing) right here in the United States, creating transparency in their manufacturing. Many of their products are made in North Carolina, and the colors of this hoodie are perfect for a Carolina Panthers fan!

9. Chelsea peplum top in Warm Taupe by Elegantees. This shirt is super flattering, which I think we can all get on board with! I love this neutral color for the wintery months. Elegantees provides employment for women rescued from sex trafficking. Isn't it empowering to think that the shirt you gift to your bestie is also providing for a woman who has overcome such enormous obstacles?

10. The Flourish Market gift card. And of course, if you're just not sure what to buy, a gift card is always a smart choice! I highly recommend a gift card to The Flourish Market, an online marketplace of ethically produced clothing, jewelry, and gifts. For local folks, there is also a brick-and-mortar store located in downtown Raleigh!
