Five on Friday {February 26}
Hey y'all,
We made it! It's Friday! I hope you all have had a wonderful week and that your weekend is filled with fun and rest. I'm excited since my old roomie is coming into town tonight, I'm running my second 5K of my 1 5K every month goal on Saturday morning and I have already planned out my meals for next week. Here are some things I have been loving this week:
one. Fam time. My sorority fam and I all got together and had dinner on Tuesday night. I'm so lucky that all the generations after me are also in the Triangle area (or still at UNC). This is seven generations in order from newest to oldest (me!). Yes, that makes me a great-great-great-great-grandbig. I'm sure the next time we all get together it will be to celebrate Caro's (the fun redhead in the middle) graduation in May!
four. Vitamin C. I got sick this week and even took a day off to rest. Here's what I picked up at Target for this cold. I must say that the dairy free Ben & Jerry's was great!
five. Poshmark. I cleaned out my closet at the beginning of the year and finally, I am starting to do something with the things. I donated a large pile but a few items I have posted on Poshmark and I still have a few more to post over the next week or so but my goal is to have everything up by March 15th and whatever is left by June 1 goes to be donated. You can shop my closet here.

two.Cross-stitch. I have recently gotten back to cross-stitching. I loved working on pieces when I was younger and thanks to Etsy there are so many great patterns now. I'm currently working on this piece for my friends little boy's nursery.
three.Bridesmaid life. This past week I picked up my bridesmaid's dress for LC's June wedding! We are officially 120 days away from the "I do's" and only 91 days until we whisk her away for a beach bachelorette weekend!four. Vitamin C. I got sick this week and even took a day off to rest. Currently & OOTDs
Hey y'all,
I am sorry for the two week break but life got crazy and I wasn't feeling motivated or creative so I needed to step away since I only want to post great content I enjoy. So since it has been forever, lets catch up with some things with a "Currently" post. I love to read these on other blogs so why not? I also thought I would share some snaps/OOTDs from the past few weeks.
eating: All the ants on a log. It is my current go to snack after work and the gym before making dinner. I even have been having pb and raisins on Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted grain tortillas as breakfast.
drinking: Detox Tea. I have been loving this when I over indulged during super bowl weekend. I have also been loving green juices and smoothies again.
reading: I just finished The Sound of Glass for book club and I am about to start Kristin Hannah's The Nightingale.
wanting: All the dairy! I'm currently not eating dairy and its been hard but my stomach has felt so much better! It does take a lot longer at the store to double check all the labels for dairy but after having M&Ms on Valentine's Day and not feeling well I know I should say no and be careful. Any dairy free recipe suggestions are appreciated!
smelling. Fresh tulips. I ran to Trader Joe's this weekend and I am loving the fresh tulips on the counter in the kitchen.
listening. Kari Jobe's song Forever has been on repeat for me lately. I'm excited to see her in concert this spring!
watching. Sabrina The Teenage Witch. My roommmate and I started to watch the series on Hulu and we are almost done. It's crazy rewatching it and seeing all the old charachters of Salem, Harvey, Hilda & Zelda.
wearing: I wore this jacket throughout the weekends and got a lot of compliments on it. I saw it in store over my weekend away with my parents but it ended up being cheaper online.

Five on Friday {February 5}
Hey y'all,
As usual, it is almost the weekend so I'm linking up for Five on Friday. This week seemed to stretch on and I'm back to feeling better after an awful migraine yesterday but here are a few things I have been loving this week.
one. I purchased the Rayne necklace in Ivory Pearl and Silver from the Color Bar for my birthday thanks to the Kendra Scott thanks to the 50% off an item during your birthday month! I am kind of obsessed with it.
two. Me Before You. I loved the book when I read it for book club and I am excited that the movie trailer is now out. However, if you haven't read the book, do not watch the trailer if you want to be surprised.
four. Tea. I received six boxes of tea for my birthday so I am all stocked up! I might need to rearrange my tea storage but it was a great reminder to take a few minutes to steep a cup and enjoy. I have been loving the Paris tea from Harney and Sons that I received.
five. February Scripture Writing Plan. One of my goals this year is to read the whole Bible (I am doing a plan through church) and to work on my relationship with God. One thing I have been loving is writing out the Scriptures. Whether I am using my Write the Word journal or simply following Sweet Blessing's scripture writing plan, the 10 minutes focusing on a verse are so great for my heart.

Ingredients
1 Roma tomato, diced
½ cup Mayonnaise
8 slices of Bacon, crumbled (I have grabbed bacon bits as well in a hurry)
3oz. Swiss or Mozzarella cheese, shredded (I typically go for Mozzarella)
½ small onion,
finely chopped
1 large tube of Grands Biscuits (the layered kind)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375.
Lightly spray mini muffin pan with PAM
Combine bacon, tomato, onion, cheese, and mayo in bowl.
Refrigerate the mixture while you separate the biscuits into 3 thinner layers (2 layers if making full size muffins). Press
each layer into the mini-muffin cup. Fill the cups with the bacon mixture.
Bake 12-15 minutes, until
golden brown.

What the Heck Wednesday {The Rogue Not Taken}
Hey y'all,
Since it is February and the month celebrates love, I think it's appropriate to share my most recent read. I have been a fan of romance novels ever since my Mom gave me a Nora Roberts book in middle school. I have always been a hopeless romantic and escaping into a book that ends with a couple living happily ever after is always great in my mind.
I recently read Sarah MacLean's Rules of Scoundrels series which I enjoyed immensely and so the start of a new series entitled the Scandal & Scoundrel (in the same world of the Rules of Scoundrels) had me intrigued. The first book in the series came out in December and it was a nice quick read this past weekend.

Description
LADY SOPHIE'S SOCIETY SPLASH
The youngest of the infamous Talbot sisters scandalized society at the Liverpool Summer Soiree, striking her sister’s notoriously philandering husband and landing him backside-first in a goldfish pond. And we thought Sophie was the quiet one…
When she finds herself the target of very public aristocratic scorn, Sophie Talbot does what she must to escape the city and its judgment—she flees on the back of a carriage, vowing never to return to London…or to society. But the carriage isn’t saving her from ruin. It’s filled with it.
ROYAL ROGUE'S REIGN OF RAVISHMENT!
The Marquess of Eversley was espied descending a rose trellis—escaping an irate Earl and his once-future countess. No lady is safe from Eversley’s Engagement Ending Escapades!
Kingscote, the Marquess of Eversley, has never met a woman he couldn’t charm, a quality that results in a reputation far worse than the truth, a furious summons home, and a long, boring trip to the Scottish border. When King discovers stowaway Sophie, however, the trip becomes anything but boring.
WAR? OR MORE?
He thinks she’s trying to trick him into marriage. She wouldn’t have him if he were the last man on earth. But carriages bring close quarters, dark secrets, and unbearable temptation, and suddenly opposites are altogether too attractive…

My Opinion
I loved the character of Sophie, she merely wants to leave London and run a bookstore in the country but her plans take a bit of a turn when she ends up on the back of King's carriage. I thought the banter was a lot of fun and I as usual was so invested that I was laughing throughout the book and bawling near the end. For a nice, quick, feel good read I would pick this up again!
