This past week was terrible. I think with our society of perfect images on Instagram, I need to use this space to be real. It started with recovering from my half marathon (chafing sucks) on Monday, taking over a meeting on Wednesday for 2.5 hours since a co-worker was out, a 2 hour meeting with management that wasn't handled very well and left everyone on my team feeling defeated, and then a nutritionist appointment where we talked about my "week of chocolate" and lack of exercising the entire week. So here is to a new week, let's reset and reintroduce green things. I am so glad I had a busy but refreshing weekend where I was poured into by wonderful families and friends. So here is a verse that I am taking on this week. It can be easy to be bogged down with this world with all the tragedies and everyday stress but we have a Savior who overcame death for our sake. We have wonderful things ahead even if we do not see it in this world, Christ is our joy.

HAPPY MONDAY!
Also, you can buy this image as a print at French Press Mornings shop. I just discovered her blog this weekend and I am trying to resist buying all the prints to have a verse wall.
What's on your heart today? What do you do to de-stress?
If Instagram were to be believed, no one does housework, has a bad hair day, or eats leftovers out of the refrigerator. Being real is good! Congrats on the half. I think that makes up for some of the chocolate :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you had a rough week...believe me we have all been there! Here's to hoping this week will be better for you! Oh and I love that verse and print, it is so very true and always a good reminder!
